Joseph DeLappe is an American artist known for intervention pieces that focuses on contemporary issues surrounding politics in installations.

  • Describe Micol Hebron’s work

Micol Hebron is an interdisciplinary artist, and an associate professor at Chapman University. Micol focuses mainly on feminist activism topics in his arts.

  • List all the different “Media” that you see DeLappe and Hebron using.

Photographs, drawings, installation art, physically made art.

  • How do you think they choose the media they use to express their different ideas.

I think they think about the idea first then think about what kind of media to display it on.

  • What media do they use that you hadn’t previously thought of as “art media”?

Micol draws art on what looks to be a tablet using some kind of paint software.

  • Do you see similarities in DeLappe’s and Hebron’s work? Do they explore similar ideas? Or not? Do they use similar media? Or not? Do you see similar thought processes?

I don’t see similarities in their way of displaying their idea or their topics.

  • Can you think of some media that DeLappe or Hebron have not used that might be compelling in their work?

I think that both might benefit from using some kind of software in their displaying of their ideas.
